Mechanical & CAD Engineers (Must own MacBook)

What you'll do

Support an AI research project by completing and narrating real mechanical design and CAD tasks. Explain your decisions as you work so the resulting training data captures real mechanical design and CAD workflows and helps benchmark AI models.

What you'll need

• Your own MacBook or Mac with an Apple M-series or Intel processor, running macOS 15 or later.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with hands-on 3D modeling and drafting experience
• Proficiency in Mac-compatible CAD tools such as Fusion 360, Onshape, Shapr3D, or FreeCAD; familiarity with GD&T and engineering drawings is a plus
• Currently pursuing or recently completed master’s studies, or have 2 to 3 years of relevant experience + a bachelor’s degree from a prestigious institution
• Ability to clearly explain your engineering decisions while you work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Time and selection process

The part time commitment is approximately 10 to 20 hours per week, with an immediate start preferred. Tasks have clearly defined responsibilities.

Selection includes a resume, a three minute AI interview focused on research and reasoning, and a short paid assessment. Follow-up on application status and next steps is expected within a few days.
