Corrections

When we publish something wrong — a wrong pay rate, a misattributed quote, a number off by an order of magnitude — we fix it, mark it visibly, and log it here.

Policy

  • Visible correction notes. When a Friday Flash or report contains a factual error, we update the page in place and add a dated correction note at the top of the article (not buried in a footer).
  • No silent edits. Substantive changes — anything that affects a number, a claim, or a recommendation — get a correction note. Typo fixes and broken-link repairs do not.
  • Listings. When a job listing’s pay or details are wrong, we correct the listing page. Listings closed by the source platform are closed here once they have been missing across several refreshes.
  • Reader-flagged errors. Email joemack02@gmail.com with the URL and the issue. We respond within two business days; corrections ship the same day they’re verified.

    Site-wide accuracy review

A review of the whole site found statements we could not back up, and we have corrected them:

    • How often listings are refreshed. Pages said “updated hourly”, “every 4 hours” or “daily”. Listings are refreshed every few days. Pages now show the date the listings were last checked.
    • “Verified” and “vetted” listings. Listings are collected automatically from each platform’s public job board and are not individually checked by a person. Those words have been removed.
    • Who is hiring. Job pages did not say which company posted the role. Each job page now names it.
    • Company facts on platform pages. Several platform profile, review and comparison pages gave a wrong owner, founding year, client list or payout schedule, and quoted listing counts and pay figures that were out of date. They have been corrected against the companies’ own published information, and unverifiable claims removed.
    • Remote and location labels. Some on-site or hybrid roles were labelled “Remote”. Job pages now show the location the listing itself states.
    • Closed roles. Some roles that had closed at the source were still shown as open. Listings are now closed once the source stops listing them.

Friday Flash: Hedge Fund Experts at $200/hr + a Massive Expert-Workforce Sweep

Two $500–1,000 one-time projects called out (Real Estate Sales Agents + Producers / Directors) closed at the source within 24 hours of publish. Replaced the specific callouts with a general note that single-engagement project listings tend to fill within a day or two; pointed readers to the live one-time projects category instead.
