Description

The work

Help AI systems interpret and solve complex CFD problems. Evaluate technical answers and explain simulation decisions across meshing, turbulence, solver setup and verification. Previous AI experience is not required.

  • Solve and assess advanced questions involving mesh creation, turbulence models, multiphase flow, heat transfer and solver configuration.
  • Review generated responses for correctness and engineering soundness.
  • Apply practical judgment to simulation cases and theoretical fluid mechanics questions.
  • Investigate problems through mesh independence checks, model selection, boundary conditions and convergence assessment.
  • Contribute feedback that strengthens the reasoning behind CFD answers.
  • Explain findings clearly in written and spoken form.
  • Collaborate remotely with technical specialists and other project participants.

Preferred experience and skills

  • Preferred candidates hold at least a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, chemical or related engineering with a fluid dynamics or thermofluids focus, or have equivalent practical CFD experience of three or more years.
  • At least three years of hands on CFD simulation and validation, including meshing, solver setup, turbulence, multiphase or heat transfer analysis, or postprocessing.
  • Relevant sectors include aerospace, automotive, energy, marine, HVAC, process engineering and biomedical applications.
  • Deep understanding of Navier-Stokes equations, RANS, LES and DES turbulence modeling, mesh strategies, boundary conditions and verification and validation.
  • Ability to assess fluid flow, thermal and multiphysics results against experimental or analytical evidence.
  • Familiarity with ASME V&V 20, AIAA verification and validation guidance or ITTC procedures.
  • Excellent English and precise written and spoken technical communication.
  • ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+, OpenFOAM, COMSOL or Converge experience is a strong advantage.
  • Problem authoring, committee service, competition leadership or peer recognized CFD contributions are also valued.

Working arrangements

Contractors work remotely and earn payment for outputs that satisfy project specifications. Task time varies by experience and workflow, and a weekly minimum submission requirement applies without a stated numerical amount.

Roles are typically filled within 48 hours, with initial work expected 24 to 48 hours after onboarding.
