Description
Semiconductor problem development
Create demanding technical problems where realistic constraints and careful reasoning determine the correct answer. This fully remote contract pays $80 to $185 per hour and can fit flexibly around your current role.
- Develop questions in your specialty, including device physics, process integration, circuit design, lithography, packaging, yield or reliability.
- Include realistic constraints and supporting data, then provide the correct analysis with an explanation of the reasoning.
- Establish objective grading criteria that independent experts can apply consistently.
- Review problems written by other contributors for technical accuracy and sound methods.
- Flag ambiguous questions or problems that cannot be graded reliably instead of submitting them.
Qualifications
A master's or doctoral degree in electrical engineering, materials science, applied physics or a closely related discipline is needed. Candidates should have principal, staff or fellow experience at a major semiconductor business, or a faculty appointment at a leading university.
Substantial depth in at least one semiconductor specialty should include direct ownership of technical work. Explanations must make it possible for another engineer to verify why the answer is correct.
Publications, patents or a history of technical leadership are strong advantages. Experience evaluating AI or large language models is helpful but optional.
Selection process
Selection includes screening questions, an AI interview that presents your expertise to the client, a profile review and onboarding assistance from recruitment operations.
