Responsibilities and fields

• Develop technically rigorous problems and solutions within your research specialty.
• Build reproducible Python analyses, models, simulations, and data-processing workflows.
• Review scientific solutions and code for correctness, clarity, and completeness.

Relevant fields include medicine, biomedical science, computational biology, neuroscience, molecular and cellular biology, biotechnology, bioinformatics, genetics, genomics, ecology, evolutionary biology, biostatistics, and biological data science.

Preferred background

• A PhD, MD, or master's degree with substantial research experience in a relevant life sciences discipline.
• Scientific or applied research demonstrated through publications, thesis work, computational projects, industry research, or equivalent accomplishments.
• Practical Python experience in scientific computing, data analysis, modeling, or simulation.
• Familiarity with NumPy, pandas, SciPy, Matplotlib, scikit-learn, Jupyter, or relevant scientific libraries.

Contract details

Work remotely worldwide for approximately 15 hours each week. Scheduling is flexible, including weekends if desired.

The advertised range is $60 to $120 per hour, while actual compensation is per task meeting specifications. Task time varies by experience and workflow, and minimum submission requirements apply.

Selection includes screening questions, an AI interview of approximately 30 minutes, and hiring manager review. Immediate availability is preferred, with selected contributors expected to begin their first task within 24 to 48 hours after onboarding.
