Senior Data Scientist and Data Engineering Experts

The work

Help evaluate AI performance on realistic data science and engineering work. Develop challenging assignments and precise standards using senior professional experience with complex data, analysis and production pipelines.

• Design practical tasks covering exploratory analysis, statistical models, ML pipelines, ETL, pipeline architecture, SQL, Python and experiment or A/B test reports.
• Write task specific criteria defining strong analytical and engineering deliverables.
• Make consistent assessments supported by evidence so judgments are repeatable and defensible.
• Refine submitted work in response to structured senior review.

Experience and skills

• The ideal background includes at least four years in data science, engineering or ML, potentially across several qualifying employers.
• Qualifying settings include leading technology or quantitative firms at mid senior level; leading financial institutions; leading consultancies in a data scientist role; or Fortune 100 organizations at senior or manager level.
• Applied scientist, research scientist and ML engineer or scientist roles also qualify.
• Strong Python, SQL, statistical modeling, ML, experimental design and causal inference skills.
• Ability to turn imperfect practical datasets into rigorous analyses and dependable pipelines.
• Excellent written English and clear communication of technical findings.
• A bachelor’s degree from an English speaking country.
• Consistent attention to detail and willingness to calibrate judgment and incorporate feedback.

Working arrangements

The project is open to candidates in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand and supports AI research into practical data work.
