Tool experience

At least one year of full-time work experience with one or more relevant CAD applications is required. The listed tools include AutoCAD Mechanical, Autodesk Inventor Professional, Rhino 3D, LibreCAD and SolveSpace, as well as related technical software.

Practical familiarity with these tools is the basis for the research contribution. You must be able to work effectively with researchers without relying on a shared schedule.

Schedule and pay

Rates can reach $125 per hour, depending on the project. Work is remote, part time and asynchronous, with flexible hours and no minimum commitment.

The fellowship operates throughout the year, with opportunities opening periodically across different specialties. Placement depends on available projects. Participation also provides an opportunity to develop skills while contributing to AI research across professional disciplines.

Participation starts with account registration, identity verification and onboarding to a relevant project before paid work begins.
