Machine Learning Engineer

Build and maintain machine learning systems

Develop models that address practical business problems and remain accurate and reliable in production. Work with data scientists, data engineers, and business analysts to turn requirements into scalable solutions.

• Clean and transform data and engineer features for model development.
• Develop, train, and deploy models using TensorFlow and scikit-learn.
• Monitor model performance and improve accuracy, efficiency, and reliability.
• Document development methods and explain results to technical and nontechnical colleagues.
• Assess relevant research and techniques for improving project outcomes.
• Share knowledge and support mentoring and continuous improvement.

Required technical skills

Expert proficiency in TensorFlow and scikit-learn is required across development and deployment. You should have strong data preparation skills, including handling missing values, detecting unusual observations, and selecting features.

Experience designing production ready machine learning systems is essential. You should understand algorithm selection, evaluation metrics, and performance tuning.

Working style

Clear written and spoken communication, careful analysis, and strong problem solving are important. You must be able to deliver independently in a remote setting with deadlines and changing requirements.

Contract arrangement

This is a remote contractor role available on a full time or part time basis.
