Description
Technical work
Create demanding aerospace problems that test whether a solution respects realistic constraints and supporting data. This remote contract offers $80 to $185 per hour, with a flexible commitment that can fit around your current role.
- Develop problems within your own specialty, such as aerodynamics, propulsion, structures, GNC, orbital mechanics or systems engineering.
- Supply the correct analysis and explain each step well enough for another engineer to verify the result.
- Set objective standards that let independent experts agree on whether an answer is correct.
- Check other contributors' problems for technical errors and weaknesses in their methods.
- Flag questions that have ambiguous answers or cannot be graded reliably instead of submitting them.
Experience and qualifications
A master's or doctoral degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering or a closely related discipline is needed. Candidates should have principal, staff or fellow experience at a major aerospace organization, or hold a faculty appointment at a leading university.
- Demonstrate substantial depth in at least one aerospace specialty and direct responsibility for technical work.
- Explain the distinction between a sound answer and a plausible answer that fails on the details.
- Publications, patents and evidence of technical leadership strengthen a candidacy.
- Experience assessing AI or large language models is helpful but optional.
Selection steps
The process includes screening questions, an AI interview that presents your expertise to the client, a profile review and onboarding support from the recruitment operations team.
