Description

Production coordination

Provide internal production support under a Production Manager or Production Lead. The coordinator works within a specific time zone to help enable 24/5 delivery and reports to a geographic hub lead who manages capacity and performance.

Linguist assignments and production communication

  • Assign linguists to projects and set deadlines according to customer service level agreements.
  • Track acceptance and rejection of assignments and monitor their progress.
  • Communicate with linguists about project status and risks that could affect delivery.
  • Log and coordinate linguist queries, returning answers within production timelines.
  • Reassign work when necessary to protect deadlines or address quality problems.
  • Send and receive translation quality feedback, including revision reports.

Production quality checks and administration

  • Check completion of required QA steps and follow up on missed or noncompliant checks.
  • Keep records of linguist performance, availability, and payments accurate.
  • Maintain precise system administration and data entry for assigned accounts.
  • Follow the production workflows, account protocols, and released tools relevant to the work.
  • Escalate risks and blockers promptly to the Production Manager or Lead.
  • Deliver projects by their agreed deadlines.

Good communication with local colleagues and the internal production team supports the coordination work. A clear understanding of the operating procedures is expected so that tasks follow the correct process.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree and professional English proficiency are required. Relevant prior experience can include translation, project coordination or management, linguistic work, or other localization activities.

The role calls for strong organization, close attention to detail, and the ability to manage several tasks at once. Meeting deadlines under pressure is important. At least 1 year in project management or a similar field is preferred.
