Imagery Analyst —AI/ML Training Data

Annotation work

Improve AI training data drawn from drone and maritime sensor imagery through a remote U.S. contract. Part time and full time arrangements are available, and previous AI experience is unnecessary.

• Review machine generated bounding boxes on still images and adjust them for accuracy.
• Locate objects missed by AI and add the appropriate annotations.
• Keep labels consistent with the supplied instructions and submit completed images within a secure Navy environment.
• Maintain reliable throughput, with compensation based on each submitted image.
• Move into video frame annotation as the assignment expands.
• Record ambiguous cases and questions about the guidelines, then communicate them clearly for resolution.

Preferred qualifications

The ability to obtain a DoD Common Access Card, or willingness to participate in the sponsorship process, is preferred. Other preferred strengths include consistent attention to detail during repetitive tasks and experience in labeling, bounding boxes or similar data preparation.

Familiarity with aerial, maritime or other sensor imagery, particularly daylight and thermal images, is valuable. Experience maintaining quality at high annotation volumes is preferred, with robotics or autonomous system labeling an additional advantage.

Comfort with dedicated annotation software and willingness to learn new applications are useful. Clear written and spoken communication helps resolve labeling questions and explain requirements.
