Description
Clinical contribution
Help AI research reflect the clinical reasoning used in facial trauma surgery. This hourly contract draws on practical clinical experience to develop demanding tasks and assess the answers produced by AI systems. The work can fit around an existing role through a flexible, part time arrangement.
Tasks and review
- Create challenging exercises based on actual clinical workflows, covering trauma assessment, CT review of facial fractures, operative strategy, fixation and reconstruction decisions, and perioperative care.
- Judge model responses for clinical or technical correctness, patient safety, and consistency with current practice and relevant professional guidance.
- Explain your assessments in organized written feedback that researchers can use to improve model performance.
The assignments call for specialist judgment and clear explanations of complex facial trauma surgery concepts. Careful reading and attention to the details of each response are essential to the review work.
Qualifications
You must hold an MD, DO, DDS, DMD, or an equivalent degree in medicine or dentistry. Residency must be in oral and maxillofacial surgery, otolaryngology with head and neck surgery, or plastic and reconstructive surgery, with emphasis on facial or craniofacial trauma; current US practice licensure is also required.
Working knowledge is required in at least one of these areas:
- Fractures of the mandible, midface, or orbit, plus frontal sinus and skull base injuries.
- Facial lacerations and other soft tissue injuries, dental and alveolar trauma, or occlusion.
- Airway care in facial injury and reconstruction following craniofacial trauma.
Board certification or eligibility in the relevant specialty, or a craniofacial, trauma, or reconstructive fellowship, is helpful. Optional strengths include work in a Level I trauma center, academic medical center, or teaching hospital, peer reviewed publications, and clinical research participation.
All contributors need strong written communication, a careful approach to detail, and the ability to complete assignments independently in a remote environment.
Pay and working arrangements
Compensation is hourly and may reach $180 per hour, depending on the project. Work is fully remote and asynchronous, so tasks can be completed at your own pace without a fixed schedule or a minimum number of hours. The research program operates throughout the year, with assignments opening periodically in different specialties.
