Description
Clinical contribution
Help AI research reflect the clinical reasoning used in speech and language pathology. This hourly contract draws on practical clinical experience to develop demanding tasks and assess the answers produced by AI systems. The work can fit around an existing role through a flexible, part time arrangement.
Tasks and review
- Create challenging exercises based on actual clinical workflows, covering assessment, diagnosis, care planning, therapy exercises, and counseling patients and caregivers.
- Judge model responses for clinical or technical correctness, patient safety, and consistency with current practice and relevant professional guidance.
- Explain your assessments in organized written feedback that researchers can use to improve model performance.
The assignments call for specialist judgment and clear explanations of complex speech and language pathology concepts. Careful reading and attention to the details of each response are essential to the review work.
Qualifications
Applicants may hold a master’s degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology, or be enrolled in a graduate SLP program. They must hold or qualify for an ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or a state SLP license.
Working knowledge is required in at least one of these areas:
- Articulation, speech sound, and motor speech conditions, including apraxia or dysarthria.
- Developmental and child language or literacy conditions; adult aphasia, cognitive communication difficulties, and traumatic brain injury.
- Dysphagia, voice and fluency conditions, or AAC methods for augmentative or alternative communication.
Experience across schools, hospitals, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, early intervention, or private practice is welcome, as is work with assessment tools and telepractice. Further strengths include multilingual clinical practice, specialty credentials such as child language or swallowing board certification, and clinical research.
All contributors need strong written communication, a careful approach to detail, and the ability to complete assignments independently in a remote environment. Patient health information and any data identifying a patient must never be shared.
Pay and working arrangements
Compensation is hourly and may reach $180 per hour, depending on the project. Work is fully remote and asynchronous, so tasks can be completed at your own pace without a fixed schedule or a minimum number of hours. The research program operates throughout the year, with assignments opening periodically in different specialties.
