Description

Clinical contribution

Help AI research reflect the clinical reasoning used in critical care. This hourly contract draws on practical clinical experience to develop demanding tasks and assess the answers produced by AI systems. The work can fit around an existing role through a flexible, part time arrangement.

Tasks and review

  • Create challenging exercises based on actual clinical workflows, covering rapid assessment in the ICU, ventilation, shock and hemodynamic management, sepsis treatment, bedside ultrasound, and treatment planning.
  • Judge model responses for clinical or technical correctness, patient safety, and consistency with current practice and relevant professional guidance.
  • Explain your assessments in organized written feedback that researchers can use to improve model performance.

The assignments call for specialist judgment and clear explanations of complex critical care concepts. Careful reading and attention to the details of each response are essential to the review work.

Qualifications

An MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree and a residency followed by a critical care fellowship are required. Applicants must currently hold a license to practice medicine in the US.

Working knowledge is required in at least one of these areas:

  • Medical, surgical, and trauma critical care, or neurologic and cardiovascular intensive care.
  • Respiratory failure, ventilator management, and ECMO support.
  • Resuscitation and management of sepsis or shock.
  • Ultrasound performed at the bedside in the ICU.

Critical care board certification or eligibility, or additional subspecialty fellowship training, is advantageous. Optional strengths include work at an academic medical center or teaching hospital, publications in peer reviewed journals, and participation in clinical research or the development of AI tools for medicine.

All contributors need strong written communication, a careful approach to detail, and the ability to complete assignments independently in a remote environment.

Pay and working arrangements

Compensation is hourly and may reach $180 per hour, depending on the project. Work is fully remote and asynchronous, so tasks can be completed at your own pace without a fixed schedule or a minimum number of hours. The research program operates throughout the year, with assignments opening periodically in different specialties.
