Record everyday activities

Create videos that show daily routines from your own point of view, with a smartphone secured to a head strap or holder. The mount lets you move naturally and film without holding the phone.

• Record activities such as preparing meals, cleaning your home, reading or exercising.
• Keep each recording between 15 and 60 minutes long.
• Leave out information that could identify a person, including faces, contact details and identification documents or numbers.

Eligibility and equipment

Participation is open to residents of Vietnam who are at least 18 years old. You must be able to operate a smartphone with a head mount, and you need to supply the strap or holder yourself because it is not provided.

• For iOS, have an iPhone 12 or newer with 0.5 zoom; the iPhone Air is excluded.
• For Android, have a phone with an ultrawide camera mode. These are mostly models released after 2020.

Location, duration and compensation

Record remotely from your home or another preferred location within Vietnam. The project is expected to continue through the end of 2026, and each participant can submit up to 60 hours of recordings overall.

Payment is $4 USD for each hour of video accepted after review. All submissions are checked against the project requirements, and project staff provide feedback once quality review is complete.

Payment options

Choose PayPal, an electronic gift card or a wire transfer. These payment windows run from acceptance of your delivery:

• PayPal: receipt within 10 to 15 business days. Enable acceptance of the incoming payment to prevent it being returned.
• Wire transfer: receipt within 14 to 17 business days, with possible bank transfer fees. This option is available only when the payment exceeds $50 USD.
• Gift card: delivery by email within 7 to 10 business days. Check spam as well as your regular inbox.

The reward redemption options can include Venmo, PayPal and bank transfers, with the complete list shown before redemption. Some monetary options have fees, so review the costs before choosing how to redeem a reward.

If a work management service is used for payment, that service's payment terms apply.

Registration and data handling

Complete the project registration form to take part. Account setup guidance is available in three steps for new participants, and existing participants can sign in with their current account to register.

Submitted data is kept confidential and is not used for advertising or distribution. Recordings must still follow the requirement to exclude personal identifying information.
