Household video project

Make short videos showing how everyday chores are done. The recordings help researchers teach AI systems about practical activities such as cooking, cleaning, and doing laundry. Everyday experience at home is enough; technical knowledge and specialist skills are unnecessary.

What to record

• Attach your phone to a head mount and film normal household activities from your own viewpoint.
• Follow the written directions for the task to choose what to film and how to position the view.
• Send completed recordings through the project’s mobile application.

Equipment and working arrangements

You need a smartphone capable of recording and uploading video, plus a phone head mount. The mount can be reimbursed up to $10.

Work takes place remotely on a schedule you choose, without a minimum hours requirement. Contributors must be able to follow written instructions carefully and work independently.

Payment and acceptance

Payment is up to $15 for each accepted hour of video, with the rate depending on the task category. Recordings must meet the stated quality requirements to be accepted, so attention to framing and filming instructions matters.
