Evaluate Rust and solve challenging systems programming tasks for AI training. The work combines technical correctness with clear explanations of engineering judgment.

• Check code for memory safety, valid behavior, and idiomatic Rust style.
• Develop solutions to difficult systems problems and explain the process.
• Find and correct flawed output or reasoning that is unclear.
• Summarize approaches and decisions concisely for other readers.

Required background

Expertise in ownership, lifetimes, borrowing, traits, and concurrency is essential. You need fluent English and strong written communication.

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related area, completed or in progress, is required; graduate qualifications are preferred. Three to five years in Rust development or systems programming is helpful, as is labeling, RLHF, or other AI training experience.

Contract terms

This is an hourly, at-will contract performed remotely and asynchronously for at least 15 hours each week. US-based contributors are preferred, with a US hourly range of $25 to $100 and starts arranged as projects open.

The work provides clear responsibility and scheduling autonomy. Strong contributors may lead programs or mentor other specialists.

Selection

An English-language AI screening covers your background, followed by a Rust assessment involving systems programming, memory safety, ownership, concurrency, and low-level optimization. Candidates are contacted when their skills match active projects.
