Description
Evaluate practical electrical engineering
Create AI training problems grounded in real design, testing and field work. Contribute industry judgment about power systems, semiconductors or embedded and RF design to help AI reason more like an experienced engineer.
- Write expert engineering scenarios using firsthand industry experience.
- Review AI responses for technical correctness and practical feasibility.
- Check whether recommendations match the way engineering work is actually performed.
- Explain assessment results through structured written feedback.
Preferred background
The ideal profile combines at least two years of hands-on electrical engineering in industry, a relevant degree and demonstrated depth in a technical specialty. An MS or PhD in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering is preferred; a BS in Electrical Engineering can also qualify when paired with substantial industry experience.
Relevant areas of depth include power systems, microgrids or high-voltage engineering; semiconductors, chip design or EDA; and embedded systems, digital signal processing or RF.
Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, Python, SPICE, PSCAD, ETAP, PSS®E, Cadence, Synopsys, Altium, KiCad, Verilog/SystemVerilog or comparable EDA and simulation environments is helpful, not mandatory. Work at a recognized hardware or electrical engineering employer, such as Qualcomm, TI, Intel, NVIDIA, GE or Siemens, is another plus.
Applicants must be based in the United States. Clear writing, careful attention to detail and independent remote work are required, including the ability to explain complex electrical engineering concepts in understandable terms.
Pay and working pattern
Compensation is up to $120 per hour and varies with the project. This is ongoing, part-time contract participation in AI research, not a conventional engineering position.
Work remotely and asynchronously alongside your current role. You set your own pace, with no fixed schedule and no minimum number of hours.
