Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)

The work

Help develop AI supported prior authorization through medication content review. Assess generated answers for accuracy, safety and evidence, then document corrections using practical pharmacy operations and medication management experience.

• Answer medication questions using patient information, supplied sources and labeling guidance.
• Review generated responses for correctness, patient safety, clarity, completeness and evidential support.
• Correct errors or omissions and provide structured annotations with explanatory feedback.
• Escalate insufficient evidence, conflicting guidance, unclear patient context or safety concerns.
• Apply review rubrics consistently and participate in calibration and feedback discussions.

Experience and skills

• CPhT certification or equivalent pharmacy technician experience.
• Hands on knowledge of medications, prescriptions, pharmacy operations and prior authorization processes.
• Strong understanding of medication safety, drug interactions and sound pharmacy practice.
• Excellent writing, close attention to detail and comfort with structured annotation rules.
• Availability for 30 to 40 hours weekly during the project.
• Prior authorization, specialty pharmacy or medication access experience is preferred.
• Epic, Cerner or other EHR knowledge and clinical quality assurance experience are helpful.
• Healthcare AI evaluation, clinical content review, data annotation, 340B or medication assistance program experience is also useful.

Working arrangements

Content may cover medication histories, authorization requirements, indications, dosing, contraindications, interactions, supporting records and pharmacy workflows.

The work requires evidence based annotations, consistent agreement with quality standards, reliable output and prompt delivery. Successful reviewers identify ambiguous or safety sensitive cases, escalate them clearly and respond quickly to calibration feedback.
