Hindi translation and creative localization

You’ll work across marketing materials, interface strings, creative writing, legal text and other localized assets. The level of creative freedom changes with the assignment, so you’ll first consider the requirements, intended audience and quality of any machine-translated text.

Delivery and quality work

• Translate, transcreate, post-edit, copy-edit and proofread to the client’s requirements.
• Work with translation tools, query systems and tools for reviewing interface content.
• Follow established workflows, raising questions and reporting risks or blockers promptly.
• Maintain client style, approved terminology and linguistic quality standards.
• Incorporate feedback from internal reviewers and client evaluations.
• Track personal quality results and error patterns, then address weaker areas.
• Contribute to error reviews and arbitration discussions.
• Meet productivity, quality and turnaround targets.
• Attend internal training, knowledge-sharing sessions and client-led training.
• Participate constructively in internal quality meetings and client review calls.

Regularly consider where your skills need development and seek guidance from language leads or managers. The role combines independent improvement with shared quality work.

Language and experience

Native or near-native Hindi and a strong command of English are required. Your written Hindi should show careful control of grammar, style, consistency and linguistic accuracy, while English comprehension must support faithful translation and creative rewriting.

A bachelor’s degree in translation, applied languages, linguistics, literature, journalism, communications or a related subject is preferred. Experience or demonstrated interest in creative localization, translation, transcreation, copywriting or Hindi content creation is relevant.

Work involving blogs, video or voice-over scripts, websites, marketing communications, newspapers, magazines or digital media is an advantage. Fresh graduates with exceptional language skills and enthusiasm for creative writing are also encouraged.
