Structure network data for AI systems

Help transform information from deployed enterprise networks into labeled, organized inputs for autonomous infrastructure models. The work combines practical troubleshooting and incident response with an interest in how infrastructure data moves through AI data pipelines. You will work directly with the client team.

This is a continuing talent network with applications assessed throughout the year. Interview rounds occur when additional headcount opens, and completing the technical practicum prepares your profile for the next round without another application.

Core responsibilities

• Examine logs, configuration records, telemetry, and event streams from production networks.
• Label and classify network behavior, faults, anomalies, and recurring incident patterns.
• Help specify schemas and data structures for large training pipelines used by downstream machine learning models.

Essential experience

You need at least five years in network engineering, network operations, or network support. Your current or most recent position must involve practical work in one of those areas.

Experience must include operating production switches, access points, and firewalls for enterprise customers. Relevant customer environments include retail, healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, universities, and hospitality.

Experience that strengthens your fit

• Responsibility for Tier 3 or final incident escalations, on call support, outage investigation, and root cause analysis.
• Enterprise Wi-Fi operation, including Cisco WLC/9800, Aruba, or Meraki controllers, plus 802.1X, RADIUS, and wireless fault investigation.
• Packet analysis performed directly with tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, and SPAN captures.
• Exposure to different vendors, customers, and environments through an MSP, VAR, systems integrator, or a diverse enterprise network estate.
• Operation of networks across multiple sites or a large campus, together with curiosity about preparing raw infrastructure data for machine learning.

The role is centered on maintaining and troubleshooting networks. Experience focused primarily on architecture, cloud or SRE work, security operations, or IT helpdesk support is less aligned with these responsibilities.

Hours and contract

Expect 30 to 40 hours of work per week, with your schedule overlapping the Pacific Time business day. This is an individual 1099 engagement paid to a personal account; corporate or agency invoicing is not supported.
