Required background

You need expertise in C++11 or later, the STL, object-oriented programming, memory management, and templates. Fluent English and strong technical writing are essential.

A bachelor's degree completed or in progress in Computer Science or a related discipline is required; a master's or PhD is preferred. Three to five years in C++ work such as systems programming, finance, or game engines is helpful, as is labeling, RLHF, or other AI training experience.

Contract terms

This is an hourly, at-will engagement performed remotely and asynchronously for at least 15 hours weekly. US-based contributors are preferred, with US compensation from $25 to $100 per hour and rolling starts as projects open.

Clear responsibilities and independent scheduling are part of the work. Consistently strong contributors may lead programs or mentor new specialists.

Selection

The process includes an English-language AI screening and a C++ assessment. Topics include memory and compiler optimization, architecture, software design, templates, concurrency, and metaprogramming.

Candidates are reviewed on a rolling basis and contacted when their skills match active work.
