Coding Expert - JavaScript

About the role

Hourly, at-will contractor engagement reviewing and writing JavaScript to help train and evaluate AI coding models. Fully remote and asynchronous. Minimum 15 hours per week. US-based candidates preferred. Pay runs $25 to $100 per hour. Rolling start dates as projects launch.

What you'll do

Hands-on JavaScript work that sharpens AI-generated code:

• Review and evaluate AI-generated JavaScript code for correctness, efficiency, and clarity.
• Write high-quality JavaScript solutions to coding problems across a range of difficulty levels.
• Create clear, human-readable explanations for code logic and problem-solving strategies.
• Identify and flag edge cases or ambiguities in problem statements or AI responses.

You're a great fit if

Deep JavaScript fluency and the ability to explain it cleanly:

• Fluent in English, with strong written communication and the ability to clearly explain abstract coding concepts.
• JavaScript expertise: deep familiarity with async/await, closures, DOM manipulation, and ES6+ features.
• 3-5 years with JavaScript frameworks, tools, or domains (Node.js, React, web development) is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree (or pursuing one) in Computer Science or a related field. Master's or PhD preferred, not required.
• Bonus: experience with data labeling, RLHF, or other AI training projects.

• Complete a screening with an AI interviewer, in English, covering your background and experience.
• Sit a domain-specific interview assessing JavaScript expertise, including advanced language features (closures, prototypes, async/await), modern frameworks (React, Angular, Node.js), and problem-solving with complex algorithms and data structures.
