Federal Staff Reporting Analyst

The work

Contribute federal staff reporting experience to AI training and evaluation. Create authentic reports and reference responses, assess generated submissions and explain the standards behind effective government communication. Prior AI experience is not required.

• Prepare, assess and refine reporting artifacts from prompts and source documentation, including Weekly Action Reports, Situation Reports, after action summaries and executive briefings.
• Write clear responses that reflect the distinct styles and standards of military and federal reporting.
• Grade submissions for accuracy, clarity, compliance and reporting conventions using detailed guidance.
• Supply input documents and reference answers for status, activity and compliance report assignments.
• Help develop rubrics and criteria for evaluating generated reports and staff writing.
• Advise on task design using practical reporting knowledge.
• Revise work through feedback cycles as client and project requirements evolve.

Preferred experience and skills

• Preferred candidates have at least three years of federal reporting or staff writing experience in US defense department work.
• Expertise preparing template based WARs, MARs, SITREPs, after action reports or executive summaries.
• Experience with one or more US military branches, with varied roles and branch exposure especially valued.
• Excellent spoken and written communication with careful tone, clarity and adherence to federal style.
• Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word experience for official reports, presentations and memos.
• Ability to explain reporting methods and give training or assessment feedback.
• US residence and a record of confidential, compliant handling of federal or military reporting.

The contractor position is remote and limited to the United States.
