Description
Robotics data quality leadership
Define, implement and improve the quality approach across robotics collection and annotation workflows. The objective is to ensure video, sensor data, teleoperation outputs and labels meet client standards for accuracy, consistency and usefulness in AI model training.
Work closely with the robotics program manager and workflow managers, while acting as the main contact for quality matters. The role combines ownership of the strategy with responsibility for its daily execution.
Standards and operations
- Set quality indicators, service levels and acceptance rules aligned with NVIDIA requirements.
- Establish quality objectives and key results that support the wider program.
- Identify emerging quality risks and put preventive measures in place.
- Design audit, sampling and validation methods that can scale across the operation.
- Monitor performance across operators, moderators and workflows, ensuring instructions and task execution follow the same quality expectations.
- Review quality throughout teleoperation, robot interactions, video and sensor capture, and annotation or labeling.
Measurement and improvement
Track accuracy, consistency, error rates and the effect of quality processes on throughput. Investigate root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions when problems arise.
Improve tools, training and workflows while looking for efficiency gains that preserve quality. Use the available data to turn findings into practical changes and monitor their results.
People and stakeholder leadership
Lead and coach robotics quality specialists, establishing onboarding and training for new team members. Manage performance and encourage careful quality practices throughout operational teams.
Serve as the escalation contact for quality issues and engage directly with NVIDIA stakeholders on performance, reporting, findings and resolution plans. Prepare recurring reports and business reviews, anticipating client needs and recommending improvements.
Maintain guidance, operating procedures and evaluation methods, keeping them aligned with robotics safety and compliance standards. Coordinate with safety, program leadership, engineering and client teams.
Experience and skills
Relevant experience includes quality management in large data operations, robotics, AI or machine learning, or comparable environments. You should have led teams across functions in busy client facing settings and have strong knowledge of quality frameworks and process improvement.
Robotics workflows, teleoperation and sensor collection experience are preferred. A practical command of root cause analysis and corrective or preventive action is important, together with the ability to interpret data and make decisions from it.
Strong communication, coaching and stakeholder influence are needed to manage complex workflows and competing deadlines. The role requires attention to detail, strategic judgment, accountability and proactive customer problem solving.
