Financial Due Diligence & Transaction Accounting

The work

Review financial due diligence and transaction accounting work to test AI performance on realistic deal assignments. Challenge assumptions, find material errors and independently validate agent supported analyses and deliverables.

• Check diligence, quality of earnings and carve out analyses for completeness, accuracy and evidential support.
• Identify unsupported adjustments, inconsistent accounting, double counting and reconciliation failures.
• Work with agentic AI to support reviews and develop realistic deal materials.
• Help write task instructions and objective grading criteria for evaluating professional transaction work.

Experience and skills

• At least five years of professional experience, including substantive practical transaction services, due diligence or carve out analysis.
• Direct responsibility for producing or reviewing transaction deliverables; audit experience or a CPA credential alone is not sufficient.
• Experience completing substantive work with tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or Claude Cowork, beyond ordinary chatbot use.
• Preferred backgrounds include Big Four or other leading transaction advisory practices and a CPA qualification.
• Experience developing review standards, training junior colleagues or writing internal guidance is helpful.
• AI benchmark or evaluation experience and availability for 20 or more hours a week are advantages.

Working arrangements

US or Canadian candidates are preferred; UK and Latin American candidates are also considered. The stated rate is $60 to $120 per hour, with payment made per task.

A minimum of 10 hours weekly is required, and 20 or more is preferred. Expect approximately 15 hours of initial environment development and three hours for each task, including agent execution time.
