- Copyedit assigned work and provide translations when requested, serving as lead linguist for designated accounts.
- Own the linguistic quality of target language deliveries produced internally or by outside partners.
- Create and maintain account glossaries, style guides and work instructions so language resources remain accurate and current.
- Manage project questions, resolve terminology and style issues, and keep communication clear among the people producing each delivery.
- Coordinate freelance translators, agencies and internal language specialists, testing and qualifying new contributors or vendors as needed.
- Develop and train internal linguists and both new and established freelancers to meet account requirements and language quality standards.
- Discuss linguistic matters directly with clients when needed, and contribute editing judgment to disputed errors and quality decisions.
