Recruiting tasks

• Locate, contact and qualify professionals for part time expert assignments completed remotely.
• Draw on industry relationships to identify process engineers, machinists, quality engineers and other relevant specialists.
• Screen candidates against the client's role descriptions and selection criteria before recommending them.
• Keep candidates and the client team informed throughout the recruiting process.
• Maintain organised, traceable records of sourcing activity, outreach and candidate recommendations.
• Share observations about the talent market and industry trends to improve sourcing decisions.
• Work independently within agreed requirements and professional sourcing practices.

Required background

Direct recruiting experience in manufacturing, engineering or skilled trades is required, along with an established network of practising engineers, machinists and manufacturing specialists. Candidates need a sound understanding of different production environments and the requirements of the roles within them.

The work calls for proactive sourcing, effective engagement, reliable documentation and follow through. Strong organisation, independent management of competing priorities, professionalism and confidential handling of information are also required.

Preferred experience

Useful specialisms include recruiting semiconductor process engineers, AS9100 quality engineers or metallurgists. A record of building and sustaining industry relationships and successfully recommending technical candidates is valuable.

Contract terms

The engagement is independent contract work rather than employment. Hours are not fixed and assignment volume is not guaranteed. Contractors cover their own business expenses and applicable taxes.
