Data Analyst

Role overview

Work as a remote contractor on data analysis projects that require strong Python, PL/SQL, and communication skills. You will analyze large datasets, identify patterns, and turn findings into reports that support business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain advanced PL/SQL queries for extraction and transformation.
• Use Python for automation, data cleaning, and advanced statistical analysis.
• Create reports and visualizations that communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with remote teams to define data requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
• Maintain data integrity and consistency across sources and systems.
• Document processes and methodologies with careful attention to detail.

Required background

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
• Proficiency in Python for analysis, automation, and scripting.
• Expert-level PL/SQL skills for extraction, transformation, and manipulation.
• Strong written and verbal communication for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving mindset.

Preferred background

• Experience with cloud-based data platforms.
• Visualization experience with Tableau or Power BI.
• Professional certifications in data analytics or related disciplines.
• Background supporting cross-functional teams and data-informed decisions.
