Systems architecture for AI training

Create realistic engineering projects that help AI reason about architecture, interfaces, dependencies and technical tradeoffs. The role draws on experience owning complex system designs and leading teams from several engineering disciplines.

This is remote contract work. US based applicants are preferred, while applicants elsewhere with strong relevant experience are also considered.

Work you will define

• Design projects that require architectural decisions spanning mechanical, electrical, hardware, software and manufacturing work.
• Convert project goals into system architectures with explicit boundaries, subsystem ownership, interfaces and technical constraints.
• Divide complex architecture problems into connected tasks, specifying the inputs, deliverables, dependencies and responsibilities of each expert.
• Coordinate contributions from subject specialists and establish technical objectives and criteria for evaluating the work.

Required background

Substantial experience as a systems architect, chief systems architect or comparable technical leader is required. You should have owned the architecture of complex engineering systems and led technical teams across disciplines.

Strong capability in architecture design, technical trade studies, managing interfaces and reviewing architectures is essential. English proficiency must be B2 or higher.

Preferred qualifications

A master's degree or PhD in systems, mechanical, electrical or computer engineering, or a related field, is useful. Experience with model based systems engineering, SysML or architecture modeling tools can also strengthen your background.

Relevant experience includes guiding architectures from initial concepts through implementation, integration and deployment. Work in aerospace, automotive, robotics, industrial systems, medical devices or similarly complex engineering settings is preferred.
