Frontend JavaScript Developer

The work

Evaluate AI frontend JavaScript for correctness, efficiency, and practical usability. This flexible remote contract involves 10 to 40 hours weekly, with tasks covering code review, interactive interfaces, and clear technical explanations.

Responsibilities

• Review generated JavaScript against current ES6+ conventions and standards for correct, efficient code.
• Find bugs, poor patterns, and weak logic, then propose better implementations.
• Solve demanding UI and UX problems to assess responsive and interactive behavior.
• Review the efficiency of DOM operations and the usability of generated scripts.
• Document state flow, event behavior, and code reasoning in readable language.

Background and skills

Applicants need strong core JavaScript skills, including async/await, closures, DOM operations, and modern ES6+ features. Three to five years with frameworks such as React, Vue, or Node.js is required.

You should be able to explain code quality judgments to different audiences and work consistently without supervision. A Computer Science or related degree is preferred but is not essential when supported by relevant experience.

Additional strengths

Data labeling, reinforcement learning from human feedback, and AI evaluation are useful backgrounds. Code review, technical writing, developer education, frontend profiling and optimization, testing frameworks, or quality assurance are also helpful.

Working arrangements

This is a remote hourly contract with 10 to 40 hours per week. Work is organized around independent assignments and a flexible schedule. Work is asynchronous and task based.

Research projects may provide ongoing assignments and contract extensions.
