Description

Voice recordings for model training

Record voice samples in British English for AI model training. Professional and semi professional performers can contribute, with relevant experience in acting, narration, podcasting, or streaming. Participation requires willingness to license your voice for AI voice cloning or text to speech training.

Requested voice profile

Male voice talent should have clear diction, high intelligibility, strong breath control, and stable vocal quality. Delivery needs consistent pacing and enough expressive range for neutral, professional, authoritative, informational, and formal speaking styles.

Long recordings should retain naturalness and accurate pronunciation across ordinary text, numerals, dates, abbreviations, names, technical terminology, and locale specific content where required. A neutral or suitable target market accent and studio quality, noise free recordings are expected.

Recording setup and delivery

  • Have native fluency in British English.
  • Record in a professional studio or a high quality home setup with appropriate recording software, microphone, headphones or speakers, and an audio interface.
  • Have access to a professional digital audio workstation and the software or plugins needed for recording.
  • Use a treated, quiet space free from background noise, music, clicks, muffling, and other unwanted sound.
  • Follow the specified volume levels, file names, audio format, spacing between segments, and quality requirements.
  • Provide demos, sample recordings, or voiceover examples that can be reviewed against the voice brief.
  • Be comfortable with fast turnarounds and tight deadlines after accepting a project.

A project may require a recording test before final selection. Equipment, audio quality, delivery style, rates and fees, and availability may be checked during that process.

Working arrangement

This is independent contractor work with a flexible schedule. Project demand determines the work available, so hours are not guaranteed and the engagement is intended to provide supplemental income. It is not presented as a dependable replacement for a full time job.

Contractors choose when to work, but accepted assignments carry commitments to quality and timely delivery. Most tasks require availability of at least 2 hours per day or 20 hours per week, so you should be able to sustain the required commitment once you accept work.

The 1099 arrangement does not include employee benefits such as health insurance, paid leave, or retirement contributions. Contractors handle their own tax obligations. The source recommends discussing those obligations with a tax professional before starting.

Projects can provide experience across different industries and domains, with opportunities to expand a portfolio and develop relevant skills. Rates are described as competitive, with prompt payment; no specific rate is stated. Strong contributors may gain access to higher rates and priority project opportunities.

Selection and onboarding

Prepare a CV in English and samples of your voice work. Depending on the project, selection may involve the samples, a test, or both, followed by review against the technical and performance requirements.

Once selected, contributors complete an application form, payment setup, and the remaining onboarding steps. Recording work begins after the project selection and setup process.
