Quantitative Analyst (Quant)

The work

Evaluate AI generated quantitative models and statistical outputs for valid mathematics, sound assumptions, and reliable behavior. This remote hourly contract offers flexible, asynchronous work reviewing financial models, risk, forecasting, and simulations.

Responsibilities

• Examine mathematical validity, statistical soundness, and consistency of model logic.
• Assess predictive performance and investigate unexpected or flawed behavior.
• Check data pipelines, feature choices, and transformations for correctness and reliability.
• Explain complex findings in organized formats that support action.
• Identify inconsistent results, assumptions needing revision, and models requiring recalibration.
• Contribute to recurring assessments of quantitative methods and simulation outputs.

Background and skills

Applicants need a strong background in one of data science, applied mathematics, statistics, or quantitative finance. Deep knowledge of modeling methods, statistical inference, and predictive analysis is required.

You should be able to interpret complicated model behavior and explain it to readers without technical backgrounds. Careful review of numbers and assumptions, consistency, and independent working habits are essential.

Additional strengths

Python, R, NumPy, pandas, statsmodels, or similar tools are helpful. Other useful experience includes risk analysis, systematic trading, financial engineering, reviewing or auditing models professionally, and AI or model evaluation tools.

Working arrangements

This is a remote hourly contract with flexible working hours. Work is organized around independent assignments and a flexible schedule. Assignments are completed independently, with possible ongoing projects and contract extensions as new research needs emerge.
