Clinical Data QA Reviewer

The work

Assess clinical text and structured electronic health records for quality and consistency. Apply healthcare documentation knowledge to identify errors and improve datasets used in clinical and research work. The role is focused on the Chicago market.

• Review clinical text and structured records for accuracy.
• Label diagnoses, procedures and chart details using defined instructions.
• Identify unclear information, contradictions and documentation errors.
• Exercise careful judgment with complex practical medical datasets.
• Maintain consistent annotation standards across substantial record volumes.
• Provide structured feedback and promptly flag data quality concerns.

Experience and skills

• A healthcare, clinical documentation, medical coding or related background.
• Familiarity with EHR systems, ICD codes, Current Procedural Terminology or clinical language.
• Close attention to detail and dependable, quality focused work.
• Ability to manage tasks independently.
• Chart review, medical records or clinical quality assurance experience is helpful.
• CPC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA or similar credentials are preferred.
• Labeling software or annotation experience is useful.
• Clinical research or health informatics experience is an advantage.

Working arrangements

The contract is fully remote with flexible scheduling and clearly defined responsibilities. Continuing work or a longer engagement may be available, with collaboration among healthcare data quality professionals.
