The work

Contribute healthcare expertise to annotation and quality review of complex clinical datasets. Interpret nuanced medical records, identify ambiguous cases and maintain consistent labels that help AI understand real clinical information.

• Annotate clinical and electronic health record data with precision.
• Interpret diagnoses, procedures, medical terminology and narrative context when assigning labels.
• Review labeled datasets for accuracy and adherence to instructions.
• Flag errors, ambiguity and unusual cases with clear, structured explanations.
• Combine detailed annotation rules with sound clinical judgment.
• Help improve the quality and performance of healthcare AI through reliable data.

Experience and skills

• A background in healthcare, clinical informatics, nursing, medicine, health information management or a related field.
• Familiarity with EHR tools and clinical documentation practices.
• Close attention to accuracy and the ability to organize an independent workflow.
• Consistent application of structured instructions across large datasets.
• Medical coding experience with ICD, Current Procedural Terminology or SNOMED is helpful.
• Previous annotation or labeling work is useful but not required.
• NLP, clinical NLP or health informatics tool experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare privacy standards is an advantage.
• Clinical research, medical records or health data quality experience is welcome.

Working arrangements

This is a fully remote hourly contract with flexible, asynchronous work and the ability to adjust your hours. Collaboration includes specialists across locations, and strong performance may lead to continued work or a contract extension.
