Financial Analyst AI Researcher - Remote

The work

Help improve AI financial research through rigorous review of statements, metrics and written analysis. Check generated conclusions against source evidence and explain inconsistencies clearly. No AI or technical background is required.

• Assess generated financial summaries, analyses and evaluations for accuracy and sound reasoning.
• Review company financial statements, operating measures and structured datasets.
• Validate ratios, metrics and trends against underlying records.
• Compare narrative disclosures with quantitative information to identify discrepancies.
• Present insights concisely using structured review formats.
• Maintain consistent quality across repeated evaluation cycles.
• Manage task assignments independently and asynchronously.

Experience and skills

• A solid background in financial analysis, accounting, corporate finance or a related area.
• Comfort interpreting income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
• Strong spreadsheet skills and quantitative analysis.
• Clear writing that turns numerical evidence into meaningful conclusions.
• Systematic, detailed review of financial information.
• Industry benchmarks and sector performance driver knowledge are useful.
• Equity research, investment analysis or financial modeling experience is helpful.
• Financial data systems, reporting frameworks, audit, consulting or diligence experience are preferred additions.

Working arrangements

This is an hourly contract for 10 to 40 hours each week, carried out fully remotely. Work independently and asynchronously on a flexible schedule. Further assignments or an extension may become available as new projects begin.
