Finance & Accounting Expert

The work

Evaluate generated finance and accounting work using practical reporting and modeling expertise. Identify misstatements, assess accounting guidance and explain corrections with professional precision. Previous AI or technical experience is not required.

• Review accounting guidance on US GAAP, IFRS and SFRS for completeness and technical correctness.
• Assess reporting, statement preparation and regulatory compliance outputs.
• Check DCFs, valuations and Excel based models for accuracy and practical applicability.
• Identify errors, omissions and misleading claims in analyses and accounting advice.
• Provide detailed, structured feedback that improves explanations of finance concepts.
• Create and assess sample scenarios, journal entries and workflow examples illustrating proper accounting.
• Manage assignments independently and asynchronously.

Experience and skills

• Experienced accounting practice with ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent qualifications or experience.
• Strong practical knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS or SFRS.
• Familiarity with statement preparation, period end closing and general ledger management.
• Comfort with DCFs, comparable company analysis and spreadsheet based models.
• Methodical attention to technical accuracy and clear written English.
• Active professional certification is preferred.
• SGX, SEC or public company reporting experience is helpful.
• Audit, tax or advisory work at a Big Four or other professional services firm is useful.
• SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or other accounting software proficiency is an advantage.
• Advanced Excel, VBA, FP&A, cross border reporting and accounting across jurisdictions are valuable additions.
• Experience writing, editing or reviewing technical finance content is also welcome.

Working arrangements

This is a remote contract organized around projects, with flexible hours and an expected commitment of 10 to 40 hours per week. Continued work or extensions may become available as additional finance projects launch.
