The work

Help train AI on physics by labeling scientific material, mapping concepts and reviewing generated solutions. Contribute research, teaching or applied problem solving expertise to datasets spanning varied subjects and difficulty levels.

• Label and categorize problems, concepts, diagrams, experiments and related physics information.
• Map connections between principles in areas such as mechanics, electromagnetism and thermodynamics.
• Check model generated solutions, identify errors and explain needed improvements.
• Help build balanced training content covering a broad range of physics and levels of complexity.

Experience and skills

• Deep physics knowledge gained through research, teaching or applied work.
• Experience developing or reviewing complex scientific, educational or technical material, such as experiments, curricula or simulations.
• Ability to explain challenging concepts clearly and connect theory with practical understanding.
• Data labeling, RLHF or other AI training experience is an advantage.

Working arrangements

This is an hourly, at will contractor engagement with fully remote, asynchronous work and a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week. US candidates are preferred, and the stated US compensation range is $25 to $100 per hour.

Start dates depend on project launches, with applications reviewed continuously and contact made when a background matches active needs. Contributors have defined quality expectations and independent responsibility for delivery; consistent strong performers may lead new programs or mentor incoming specialists.

Selection includes an English screening with an AI interviewer, followed by a physics interview assessing fundamentals, complex process analysis and practical application of theoretical frameworks. Relevant subject assessments form part of the process.
