Description
The work
Help AI produce safer systems software through expert Rust review. Assess generated code against memory, concurrency and performance requirements, then explain shortcomings in clear technical feedback.
- Review code for correctness, memory safety and appropriate ownership patterns.
- Write efficient systems programs to benchmark understanding of low level constraints.
- Assess concurrent logic for race conditions or undefined behavior.
- Evaluate type safety, technical rigor and consistency with idiomatic Rust.
- Provide structured explanations that improve model reasoning about systems programming.
- Complete independent, asynchronous assignments on your schedule.
Experience and skills
- At least five years of professional production Rust work focused on concurrency and memory safety.
- Strong systems programming and performance optimization background.
- Deep knowledge of ownership, lifetimes and concurrency primitives.
- Clear written explanations of complex low level concepts.
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in computing or a related technical field.
- Fluent English for precise technical communication.
- Distributed architecture or developer tooling experience is preferred.
- Unsafe Rust and its tradeoffs, compiler design, embedded systems or operating system programming are helpful areas of expertise.
- AI code generation or code review workflow exposure is useful.
Working arrangements
This is an hourly contract for 10 to 40 hours each week, carried out fully remotely. Work independently and asynchronously on a flexible schedule. Further assignments or an extension may become available as new projects begin.
