The work

Help train AI to reason through scientific problems using advanced physics knowledge. Design tasks, write rigorous solutions and assess model responses from undergraduate through master’s level. No prior AI experience is needed.

• Create challenging physics problems covering mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics and other areas.
• Write precise solutions that show each logical step.
• Evaluate generated answers for scientific correctness, reasoning depth and overall quality.
• Work with researchers to build and refine physics benchmarks.
• Complete task assignments independently and asynchronously.

Experience and skills

• Currently studying for or holding a master’s degree in physics, applied physics or a closely related field.
• Strong problem solving across advanced physics subjects.
• Concise, clear writing that explains difficult concepts.
• Careful attention to logic and scientific accuracy.
• Self motivation and comfort working independently.
• Data annotation, quality assessment or evaluation experience is helpful.
• Knowledge of AI and machine learning ideas is useful but optional.
• Technical writing or educational content experience is a useful addition.

Working arrangements

This is an hourly contract for 10 to 40 hours each week, carried out fully remotely. Work independently and asynchronously on a flexible schedule. Further assignments or an extension may become available as new projects begin.
