Voice recording for a customer experience AI agent

Record African American English speech to train and evaluate text to speech systems for a client’s internal customer experience AI agent. The project calls for voice actors based in the United States with a natural African American English delivery with experience delivering clean, consistent and expressive recordings.

Your voice may be cloned for that specific internal agent. The recordings are restricted to this use and will not be sold, licensed or reused for another product, dataset or purpose; participation requires comfort with the stated voice cloning use.

Recording responsibilities

Record conversational, narrative, instructional and other scripts with clear, natural delivery.
Control tone, pacing and pronunciation while preserving expressive speech.
Keep your voice, accent and delivery consistent across recording sessions.
Follow the supplied requirements for the recording environment, microphone setup and file formatting.
Provide additional takes with changes in emotion, emphasis or style when requested.

Experience and equipment

Relevant professional experience includes voice acting, dubbing, narration, podcasting or broadcasting. You need strong intonation, diction and emotional range, and the ability to follow a script accurately without losing a natural speaking style.

A professional or near professional recording setup is required, including a quality microphone, a quiet recording environment and suitable equipment such as a pop filter. Reliable availability is required throughout the project duration.

Helpful experience

Experience with text to speech, audiobooks, interactive voice response systems or AI voice datasets is helpful. Familiarity with audio editing tools such as Audacity, Adobe Audition or Reaper is also valued.

The ability to deliver several vocal styles, including conversational, corporate, energetic and calm, can be useful across the scripts and recording variations.
