Financial Markets Research Associate

The work

Synthesize complex financial information into clear research outputs that support AI development. Draw on equity, economic and market knowledge to identify important drivers and check the reliability of underlying evidence. No AI background is required.

• Research equity markets, macroeconomic indicators, sector trends and corporate disclosures.
• Identify factors influencing individual businesses, industries and broader markets.
• Write concise, structured research summaries with consistent presentation.
• Cross check sources for accuracy, internal coherence and reliability.
• Complete additional research assignments as project needs change.
• Manage work independently and asynchronously.

Experience and skills

• Experience in financial analysis, economics, market research or a related discipline.
• Skill combining complicated information from multiple sources into clear conclusions.
• Structured writing that makes dense financial material accessible.
• Methodical review and an ability to detect inconsistent data.
• Reliable independent working habits.
• Knowledge of valuation, financial statements and earnings drivers is helpful.
• Experience with macroeconomic or sector datasets is useful.
• Investment research, asset management, financial journalism or economics experience is welcome, as is familiarity with AI or data evaluation tools.

Working arrangements

This is an hourly contractor role with a flexible schedule and fully remote work. Tasks can be completed independently and asynchronously. Further assignments or an extended engagement may become available as new projects begin.
