C++ infrastructure engineering

Develop production data systems that support AI training and evaluation. Work combines full-stack tooling, backend services, and performance-sensitive systems programming.

• Build and optimize C++ pipelines for data processing and model assessment.
• Develop annotation, validation, and quality-control services at scale.
• Improve the reliability, safety, and performance of existing code.
• Diagnose bottlenecks and unusual behavior in data or systems, then implement scalable fixes.
• Coordinate with data, research, and engineering colleagues.
• Participate in live design reviews to refine architecture and implementation.

Required expertise

You need professional production C++ experience in the three to five-plus year range and a full-stack background with strong systems programming skills. Deep knowledge of efficient binary serialization formats is essential.

Hands-on implementation of zero-copy exchange protocols for fast data pipelines is required. Native or fluent English, clear spoken and written communication, and reliable availability for 20 to 40 hours each week are also necessary.

Helpful background

Annotation, data quality pipelines, evaluation systems, AI or ML workflows, model training, benchmarks, distributed systems, and developer tooling are useful experience.

Contract terms

The hourly engagement is fully remote with flexible scheduling and a 20 to 40 hour weekly commitment. Work centers on substantive production systems with AI research teams, with possible continuing assignments or extension.
