Required background

You must hold a master's-level or doctoral qualification in Materials Science or a closely related subject. Strong semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or adjacent technical expertise is required.

Comfort coding in Python or MATLAB for research or technical applications is essential. You need strong English writing, close attention to detail, and dependable independent work.

Candidates must currently be based in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, or New Zealand.

Helpful experience

Annotation, data labeling, and AI evaluation are useful backgrounds. Industry or academic research with published or applied results, computational materials science, simulation tools, and clear scientific communication are also relevant.

Contract arrangement

The fully remote hourly contract offers flexible scheduling for 10 to 40 hours weekly. Training and onboarding support are provided, so previous AI experience is unnecessary; further work or an extension may be available.
