Record natural speech for conversational AI

Contribute scripted and spontaneous audio that sounds like everyday conversation. The project needs native or equivalent fluency in the required language and dialect, with a consistent, natural delivery across both prepared text and unscripted speech.

Your recordings may be used to create synthesized AI voices for conversational products. You will review and sign a consent form explaining the data terms before any paid recording session begins.

Recording sessions

• Attend two supervised sessions lasting approximately four hours each, with live guidance from a session director through a separate recording service.
• Read scripts faithfully in a conversational voice, avoiding a polished commercial or announcer style.
• Speak spontaneously about an assigned topic while keeping the warmth and pace consistent with your scripted recordings.
• Prepare and manage your own recording equipment and space.
• Keep every recording entirely in the specified language and dialect, without switching to other languages or dialects.

Required experience and equipment

A background in voice acting, acting, theater, or comparable performance work is required. You should be comfortable directing your own audition and responding to a director's live instructions during the guided sessions.

• Provide a quiet recording space without echo or background noise, with acoustic treatment for the selected recording sessions.
• Have or obtain a dedicated professional microphone for the audition, such as a RODE NT-USB Mini or Blue Yeti.
• If selected, meet the session requirement for a qualifying USB condenser microphone or an XLR microphone with an audio interface.
• Provide closed back monitoring headphones for the recording sessions.

Built in laptop microphones, AirPods, earbuds, and headsets are excluded at every stage.

Helpful additional experience

Conversational voice work in dubbing or ADR, audiobooks, or podcasts is an advantage. Familiarity with microphone positioning and with identifying noise, clipping, or distortion is helpful, as is an existing acoustically treated home recording setup.

Consent and recording use

The consent form explains how recordings are collected, used for purposes including synthesized voice training, shared with approved partners, and retained. It also explains the data rights available where you live, including access, correction, and deletion where applicable.

A copy of those terms can be requested before submitting an application. Consent is reviewed and signed before session recording, so you can understand how your voice data will be handled in advance.
