Description
Rust development and evaluation
Assess generated systems code and build Rust infrastructure that supports AI evaluation. The focus is safe memory handling, correct concurrency, and efficient production behavior.
- Review generated implementations and identify errors in safety or performance.
- Design, build, and optimize Rust systems for evaluation workflows.
- Develop backend tools and services for large-scale validation and quality checks.
- Diagnose bottlenecks, unusual inputs, and subtle bugs, then propose scalable fixes in idiomatic Rust.
- Give organized technical feedback that improves model output.
Required experience
At least five years writing production Rust professionally is required, with emphasis on memory safety and concurrency. Strong systems programming and performance optimization knowledge is essential.
You need education at bachelor's level or higher in Computer Science or a relevant technical field. Clear explanations of low-level concepts in plain English, systematic review, and dependable independent delivery are also required.
Helpful background
Distributed architecture, developer tools, AI code generation, and LLM evaluation are useful experience. Compiler design, operating system internals, embedded systems, and contributions to open-source Rust are also welcome.
Contract arrangement
The hourly contract is fully remote with flexible asynchronous work for 10 to 40 hours per week. Training and onboarding support are provided, with possible continued assignments or an extension as projects open.
