Scottish English recordings

Contribute natural speech to research on AI comprehension through a small number of in-person studio sessions. The contract covers two or three four-hour appointments at a professional studio assigned locally in Scotland.

The project records real speech and does not clone voices or use synthesized recordings in place of your performance.

• Perform solo recordings and paired conversations.
• Deliver authentic, spontaneous-sounding speech across everyday scenarios.
• Adapt pace, tone, and delivery in response to light direction.
• Help researchers represent the variety of natural human speech.

Performer profile

You should have a genuine Scottish accent and work in voice acting, voice-over, or performance. Native or near-native Scottish English and current residence in Scotland are required.

Comfort speaking naturally into a microphone, the ability to adjust delivery quickly, and dependable professional participation are essential.

Helpful experience and terms

Acting, theatre, broadcasting, podcasting, studio recording, and dialogue-based performance are useful backgrounds.

Competitive contract pay covers a focused, limited commitment. The studio provides the professional recording setup, so performers do not need to source equipment; further sessions or projects may become available.
