Statistical training content

Develop and review datasets that help AI understand statistics and probability. The work combines accurate labeling, conceptual connections, solution checking, and tests of model limitations.

• Classify statistical expressions, equations, datasets, problems, and related material.
• Connect probability, distributions, hypothesis tests, regression, and statistical modeling to represent how concepts relate.
• Review generated solutions, identify mistakes, and explain corrections through clearly justified steps.
• Contribute training material spanning statistical topics and levels of difficulty.
• Identify bias, inaccuracies, and gaps in model understanding, then design tests of robustness and practical usefulness.

Required background

You need deep probability and statistics expertise demonstrated through research, teaching, or applied problem solving. A bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution, completed or in progress, is required.

Experience building or reviewing complex data, educational material, or technical content is essential. The role calls for intuitive command of statistical concepts and the ability to explain them clearly in written English.

Data labeling, RLHF, or other AI training experience is helpful.

Contract terms

The hourly, at-will engagement is fully remote and asynchronous, with at least 15 hours per week. US-based contributors are preferred, and the US pay range is $25 to $100 per hour.

Starts are arranged as projects open. Contributors have defined responsibilities and scheduling autonomy, while strong performers may lead programs or mentor new specialists.

Selection

An English-language AI screening covers your experience, followed by an assessment of foundational statistics and the principles underlying data analysis and inference. Candidates are reviewed on a rolling basis and contacted when their expertise matches active work.
