Description
Federal grants work
Contribute practical grants expertise to a remote AI training contract. The project covers federal grant administration, compliance, and materials reflecting work before, during, and after an award.
Tasks
- Prepare funding notices and Notices of Funding Opportunity, setting out objectives, eligibility, application steps, and assessment criteria.
- Evaluate and score submissions for applicant eligibility, project quality, budget support, and alignment with funding conditions.
- Write monitoring findings that connect deficiencies with evidence, relevant regulations, and proposed corrective steps.
- Annotate applications, award records, budgets, and compliance reports for training use.
- Assess AI grant outputs for sound procedures, regulatory accuracy, and conformity with federal rules, including 2 CFR Part 200, the Uniform Guidance.
- Develop credible scenarios, reference responses, and assessments for preaward, award, and postaward administration.
Preferred background
Professional grants administration experience is preferred, particularly in GS-1109 roles or comparable federal, state, or local government positions. Relevant practical work includes funding notices, scored application reviews, and written monitoring or audit findings.
Knowledge of grant processes, reporting obligations, and compliance standards is valuable. The role also calls for technically accurate written and spoken communication, responsive service, and effective collaboration while working remotely.
Previous work in AI training, model assessment, or content review is an additional advantage.
