Engineering tasks

Support AI training through mechanical design, physical modeling, simulation, technical problem-solving, and Python. The work involves creating, solving, reviewing, and validating tasks across structural, thermal, mechanical, and multiphysics domains.

A representative task may turn physical requirements into a computational model, generate geometry or a mesh, assign materials and boundary conditions, and run an engineering simulation. You then assess whether the resulting artifact and analysis satisfy the applicable physical and design constraints.

Responsibilities and background

• Solve and validate problems involving design, analysis, simulation, testing, or research and development.
• Translate physical systems and requirements into analytical or computational models.
• Create or modify geometry, meshes, materials, loads, contacts, constraints, and solver inputs.
• Offer an MS or PhD in mechanical engineering or a related discipline, or strong knowledge of applied mechanics and mechanical engineering fundamentals.
• Have experience building analytical, computational, or simulation solutions and practical proficiency with coding agents. This is a coding-heavy role.

Contract details

Work remotely worldwide for approximately 15 hours per week, choosing your hours and days, including weekends. The advertised range is $60 to $120 per hour, but compensation is per completed task that meets the specifications; task time varies by experience and workflow.

Minimum submission requirements apply. Selection includes screening questions, an AI interview of approximately 30 minutes, and hiring manager review.

Immediate availability is preferred. Selected contributors are expected to start their first task within 24 to 48 hours after onboarding.
